Our Board
The BABB Foundation’s Board is comprised of dedicated local residents focused on improving the quality of life for the year-round citizens of the Babb/St. Mary Valley.
Sanford Stone
Sanford is small business owner, general contractor, and member of the Montana State Bar. He lives and works and plays near Babb with his wife, sons, dogs, and an ever-increasing number of chickens. He is passionate about utilizing the tourist trade to improve the quality-of-life for year-round residents of the St. Mary Valley.

Cassie Powell
Cassie Powell resides and was born and raised on the Blackfeet Reservation in Babb, MT and is an enrolled member of the Little Shell Tribe of Montana and a Blackfeet descendant. Cassie has 20 years of conservation experience in the Tribal and Federal sectors. She has three children and enjoys gardening, outdoor activities, and learning.
Vice Chair
Leanne Zainer
Leanne teaches at Blackfeet Community College and has served as the tribal college’s interim vice-president. She is also a Glacier County Library Board member. Her stories of exploring the Babb area and Glacier National Park horseback have been published in the anthology Bright Bones: Contemporary Montana Writers and the magazine Montana Horses. Leanne is enthusiastic about volunteering and fundraising to support community education.
Secretary
Linda Howard
Linda is a Cherokee tribal citizen who lives year-round in Babb. This place holds deep meaning for her after marrying into a local Blackfeet family and raising children whose ancestors have called this land home for generations. Following a career in marketing and communications, she worked as a ranger in Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. Today, she welcomes visitors to the east side of Glacier each summer by hosting guests at her rental cabin and guiding groups through the park.
Treasurer
Andi Hall
Andi Hall was born and raised on the Blackfeet Reservation and is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet tribe. Her background includes working under the Department of Education grants at the Blackfeet Community College and mental health care coordination. Currently, she is a 0-3 teacher at the Babb Headstart. Andi is passionate about creating welcoming and creative spaces that help support the strong sense of community in the Babb area. Andi enjoys beading, sewing and going on outdoor adventures with her family.

Frances Kittson
Frances Kittson is a life-long resident of Babb and a Blackfeet tribal member. She has worked just about every job in the Browning Public School System and now helps her daughter-in-law craft the world’s finest pizza, wings, and customer service experience at Rising Sun Pizza in St. Mary. Frances enjoys spending time with her family and focuses on improving the quality of life for her neighbors in Babb,
Board Member
Rod Cline
Rod was born and raised in Cut Bank, MT and he is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet tribe. Other than his stint at Montana State University, followed by a teaching position, he has always lived in Glacier County. Rod has served on many boards, committees, and volunteer groups throughout the years. In addition to serving on the BABB board of directors, he is currently the chairperson of Glacier County Economic Development, secretary of the Glacier Electric Cooperative board of directors, president of the Cut Bank Racquetball Association, and a board member of Cultivate Cut Bank. He and his wife Lisa own Marketplace on Main in Cut Bank, a downtown creative space and small business incubator. They also own rental properties with the mission of providing safe and affordable housing to the community. Currently living in both the Babb area and Cut Bank, Rod’s focus is to serve his community, and to promote the unique aspects of this beautiful slice of Montana.
